What is the difference between matcha and regular green tea?

Matcha is made from the entire tea leaf and therefore provides significantly more nutrients and antioxidants than conventional green tea.

Why should you use water at 70–80 °C and not boiling water?

Boiling water makes matcha bitter and destroys delicate nutrients. 70–80 °C is ideal for taste and quality.

Do I absolutely have to use a bamboo whisk (Chasen)?

A bamboo whisk prevents lumps and ensures a creamy, frothy consistency. Alternatively, a whisk or a small mixer can also be used.

How long does matcha last after opening the package?

Matcha is very sensitive to light and oxygen. For best taste and vibrant color, after opening, store it in the tightly sealed original packaging and consume within 4 to 8 weeks. Always store it cool, dry and dark.
