Application recommendations
Preparing your Tarhana soup is very simple:
- Enter thepowdered tarhanainto a large mixing bowl. Add about1 cup cold waterAdd, stir and let it soak for 5-10 minutes to soften.
- In the meantime, entersome oil and butterinto a large pot and melt over medium heat. (Please refer to the package instructions for exact amounts.)
- Add the soakedTarhana mixtureinto the pot, then theSaltand stir constantly while frying for 2-3 minutes.
- Enter theremaining 5 cups of water(or the amount according to the recipe on the package) into the pot little by little, stirring constantly to avoid lumps forming.
- Once the mixturebegins to boil, reduce the heat and simmer for another 5-10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the desired consistency is reached.
- Turn off the stove and yourTarhana soup is ready!You can optionally serve them with mint, chili flakes or yogurt with garlic.
